D11x series wins prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD 2025

Another award for compact product range

Bird Home Automation GmbH, manufacturer of the renowned door communication brand DoorBird, is delighted to have received another award for its D11x series. The compact door stations for detached and semi-detached houses won this year’s iF DESIGN AWARD in the home technology category. The D11x products impressed the expert panel of 131 independent design professionals not only with their slim, elegant appearance, but also with their variety of applications and sustainability aspects such as resource-saving production. The latter were given a special weighting in this year’s jury verdict – they accounted for 20% of the assessment criteria.

“We are very proud that our products regularly receive awards from international experts,” says Sascha Keller, CEO of Bird Home Automation GmbH. “Because they meet the needs of our customers: keeping an overview in an increasingly fast-paced world – keeping an eye on your home no matter where you are, controlling access according to your own wishes and not having to compromise between state-of-the-art technology and attractive design.”

The iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the most important design prizes in the world and honors design achievements in the disciplines of product, packaging, communication and service design, architecture and interior design as well as professional concept, user experience and user interface. Every year, around 11,000 designs compete for the coveted award. It has been awarded by iF International Forum Design GmbH, one of the longest established independent design institutions in the world, for over 70 years.

DoorBird at ISE 2025 in Barcelona: Experience our latest innovations live!

integrated systems europe (ISE) is the annual meeting place for the audiovisual and systems integration industry. It will take place for the 21st time in 2025. DoorBird, manufacturer of smart door communication products, will also be at ISE from February 4 to 7 to present its innovations. At stand 2H300, visitors can get to know the wide range of door communication products and see the features of the latest product developments for themselves.With the IP video door stations of the new D31 series, available as horizontal (D31TDH) and vertical (D31TDV) versions, DoorBird has once again expanded its portfolio in multi-apartment buildings and commercial properties. The two models set new technical standards: up to 1,000 remotely manageable units, a responsive 7-inch touch display and various access control options using a virtual keypad, RFID and QR code reader as well as Bluetooth offer an enormous degree of flexibility and convenience. As with all DoorBird door communication products, the D31x series can be easily integrated into common access and building automation systems via the well-documented API. In addition, customers can choose from over 50 different high-quality materials and finishes to suit the entrance situation.Another new product is the A1131 IP video mini dome camera. DoorBird shines at BAU 2025: A milestone for innovation and success

BAU 2025 was a complete success. Over 180,000 visitors came to Munich from January 13 to 17 for the world’s leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems to find out about innovations and trends in the construction industry from the 2,230 exhibitors from 58 countries.The DoorBird stand was also very busy throughout. Visitors took the opportunity to get to know the proven door communication solutions and the latest products from the provider with headquarters and production in Berlin, Germany. DoorBird presented the D31TDH and D31TDV IP video door stations – smart solutions for multi-apartments buildings and commercial properties with up to 1,000 units. Visitors to the stand, around 30% of whom came from the DACH region and 70% from abroad, were not only impressed by the flexible access control options via PIN code, QR code, RFID and Bluetooth, but also by the responsiveness of the 7-inch touch display. Another highlight was the presentation of the A1131 IP video mini dome camera. Mounted on the wall or ceiling, it provides an additional viewing angle of the entrance area.However, it was not only technical innovations that attracted a wide audience, DoorBird also came up with innovations in terms of design.
